Nepal alder
Nepal alder (Alnus nepalensis) is not commonly found in Hawaiʻi. References suggest it may have been tried for reforestation but is not widely established on Hawaiʻi Island.

Because it does not have a significant presence, commercial use or harvest of Nepal alder is effectively non-existent on the island. Alders generally fix nitrogen and can aid in soil improvement, but the species has not gained traction in local forestry. Any records of Nepal alder likely stem from small trials or isolated ornamental plantings, lacking any meaningful wood market.
